| What did the Tenakh say about food? |
| The Blessing of Yâ-hwéh on Noach preceded the Law: |
| äGenesis 9:3-4 "Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it..." - NIV |
| Israel was also granted this blessing with the condition of giving thanks to Him. |
| äDeuteronomy 12:15-16 "However, according to all the longings of your soul you may slaughter and you may eat meat, according to the blessing of Yâ-hwéh your Mighty Ones that He gave to you. Within all of your gates: the unclean and the clean [meat], one may eat it like the gazelle or like the deer; however the blood you must not eat - on the ground you shall pour it like the waters..." |

| ...then giving thanks with offerings: |
| (then they were to eat the tithe for Yâ-hwéh before Yahweh at the place He chose (verse 17-18), or do the burnt offerings if they were too far away (verse 26-27) |
| But this is the new covenant way to offer thanks: |
| Hosea 14:2 "Return, Israel, to Yâ-hwéh your Mighty Ones, because you fell down by your sin. Take words with you, and return to Yâ-hwéh; say to Him: 'Bear away all our sin and receive us well, so we may offer the bulls of our lips..." |
| This explains these verses in the New Covenant Scripture: |
| 1 Timotheos 4:1-5 - ¶ But the Spirit speaks outspokenly that in latter seasons, some shall instigate to revolt from the persuasion, giving heed to misleading spirits and instructions of gods |
| in the fakery of false words, their own conscience being cauterized: |
| ...instructing to abstain from meats, which Yâ-hwéh created for reception with thanksgiving for the persuaded, who also acknowledge the Truth. |
| Because every creature of Yâ-hwéh is virtuous, and not even one is to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving, |
| For it is purified through Yâ-hwéh's Word with supplication. |
| However the restriction on eating blood continued: |
| Acts 15:20 "Nevertheless, let it be written to them to abstain from the defilement of what is offered to the worshipped images, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood." |
| Therefore the Leviticus 11 food laws do not annul the blessing of Noach, just as the Law does not annul the promise of 'Avraham. Both laws are fulfilled through our persuasion on Yâhuwshúa`. |
| Yâhuwshúa` is Yâ-hwéh 'Elohíym |
