Kosher food laws?

I've been cleansed by His Word! ?
Newcomer Christians: most (near-miss) "sacred name" groups advocate a return to obeying the Leviticus 11 food laws by eating only Kosher food. It presents a major obstacle for Christians to continue seeking Truth, when they already realize this is an incorrect teaching.  It is a major issue for these groups which they quarrel about emotionally, even resorting to insults, sending those who seek Truth from them scampering away.  Our no-holds barred no-compromise proscriptural website tackles this issue comprehensively by writing all the big picture, what the whole scripture says about the issue of clean versus unclean food, which everyone seems to miss somehow, except Paul and the first century convocation.

For the record, about myself, I do eat clean food, I do not ever eat unclean food or blood or strangled things.  My food is cleansed by the Word.  My food is cleansed by His Word through supplication. Any other name will not work.

Before you read further, empty your mind of whatever you may have heard before; about this page, about me, about what your Pastor/Rabbi/Priest taught you, even of what you think of this issue. I am not advocating that anyone can eat anything anytime any way. I am not advocating that everything is already clean.

Why are there differences in doctrines among groups who worship Yahweh?

Groups selecting which scriptures to believe and disbelieving and ignoring others is a sure sign of a cult, though they may have been around for a LONG time.  Individuals who do this are either placing more trust in a group's doctrine than scripture, or are ignorant of the contradicting verses.  You can tell which of these is the case by teaching them these scriptures.  Yet, if at any time scriptures seem to contradict each other, or anyone's belief about what other scriptures say, then one of two things are happening, either:

    1.  The translation is bad, or
    2.  The understanding of the said scriptures is erroneous.

In the case of this topic, BOTH of these problems are involved.  An individual Truth-seeker will humble himself when reading scripture, to not lean to his/her own understanding, and will reconcile seemingly contradictory scriptures by understanding.  But to go to the root of the problem, the Spirit of Truth is sent by the Father by the name of the Son (John 14:26), and those who have a wrong name for Him, even a near-miss name, do not have this One Spirit which would give them unity of doctrine, and therefore do not have access to the mind of the Anointed in order to understand.

The right name prevents divisions
10.  So I implore you, my brothers, about the name of our Sovereign Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed, that ye maintain the same Word for all, so there will be no schisms among you!  And be ye whole-hearted within the same understanding and within the same knowledge!
[1 Qorinthiym (Corinthians) 1: 10]

Why do most "sacred" name groups advocate Jewish Kosher doctrines?

Most near-miss name groups advocate a return to serving the Leviticus 11 unclean food laws, and ignore all that the scriptures have to say about how we are able to eat them legally. They assume without any proof that the scriptures permitting eating such things are mistranslations by the establishment. They don't even open their heart to what the Tenakh ("Old Testament") says about it when they read that either (see left margin). This is probably because when they formed, they wanted to return to the old ways and be different from the corrupt Babylon-religions they left, and fell for Jewish fables (KJV; see proper translation below). Paul gave Kosher doctrine as an example of these fables:

14. And [command] that they not pay attention to “Yehuwthíy”-like myths and the commandments of humans who utterly detest the Truth.*

15.  Everything indeed is clean to those cleansed; but to those who are defiled and those disbelieving, nothing is clean!  Instead, both their mind and conscience are defiled!

16.  They profess to acknowledge Yâ-hwéh, but by their deeds deny Him, being detestable and rebelliously unpersuadable, and disapproved for any good work.
[Titus 1:14-16]

Truly the most compelling scripture which these groups rely on is in Isaiah 65: 1-7, where Paul says it is speaking about Israel (Christians) in Romans 10:21:

2.  “The whole day I stretched out My hands toward an obstinate people, walking the way that is not good, after their imaginations!
3.  The people who provoke Me to my very Face continually, the ones offering slaughter offerings in the gardens and the ones burning incense on the bricks.
4.  The ones sitting among the graves and spending the night by the ones keeping vigil; the ones eating the flesh of the pig and whose pots contain the broth of unclean meats.
5.  The ones saying "Keep away! Do not come near to me, because I am too pure for you." These are a smoke in my nostrils, a fire burning the whole day...

This is in within a prediction of future judgment, and is understandable, when one considers that the rebellious Israel (Christianity) it refers to here is not the Virgin of Yisrael which acknowledges the Truth, it is the Christians who eat unclean food without thanking Him by His true name. Ysha`Yahuw (Isaiah) also says, in 66:16-18.  Here they are written about again, predicting their annihilation (end):

"16. Because with fire, Yâ-hwéh will execute judgment, even with His sword, all of flesh; and the ones slain of Yâ-hwéh shall be the many:

17. the ones justifying themselves yet the ones purging themselves in the gardens behind one of your temples, the ones who eat the flesh of the pig and the idolatrous object [worshipped transubstantiated wafer], and the `Akhbar [nibbling mouse - possibly the Lie, since "Alah `Akhbar" in Hebrew means the mouse will ascend!], they will meet their end together, declares Yâ-hwéh!

18. So I, due to their works and due to their imaginations am coming to gather all of the heathen masses and the tongues [the Great Multitude - Rev. 7:9], and they will come and they will see My Honor!

19. And I will set among them a Sign [of the Son of 'Atham], and I will send the Remnant from them [144,000] to the heathen masses: Tarshiysh, Puwl, and Luwd (Ones drawing the bow), Tuwval, and Yawan [Greece], the distant countries that did not heed My fame and who did not see My Honor, and they will proclaim My Honor among the heathen masses."
[Isaiah 66:16-19]

The phrase "justifying themselves" (v 17 above) also identifies the name-denying Christians, as Paul wrote:

2.  For I bear witness of them that they have zeal for Yâ-hwéh, though not about acknowledgment!  [Howshë´`á 4: 6]
3.  For they do not acknowledge Yâ-hwéh's justification [through belief in Yâhuwshúa` the Deliverer (Romans 3: 22)], and seeking to establish their own justification, they submitted not to the justification of Yâ-hwéh!

[Romans 10:2-3]

But if you will notice, this also describes most of the "sacred name" groups who proclaim near-miss names, who thus ALSO lack zeal about acknowledging His true name, and in THEIR itching for justification, turn to LEGALISM and JUSTIFYING THEMSELVES trying to keep the Law, just like those Christians who try to justify themselves by a false name.

Why is the unclean food of those name-denying Christians still unclean?
Is there a way we can have it cleansed?

Here is a prediction of our present-day religious establishment's false doctrines and dietary restrictions.  Here the mechanism of unclean food being cleansed for our consumption is explained:

1.  ¶ But the Spirit speaks outspokenly that in latter seasons, some shall instigate to revolt from the persuasion, giving heed to misleading spirits and instructions of gods
2.  Deceiving by the fakery, speaking the Lie, their own conscience being cauterized:
3.  Hindering to marry (one or more), instructing to abstain from meats, which Yâ-hwéh created for partaking with thanksgiving for the persuaded, and who acknowledge the Truth.
4.  Because every creature of Yâ-hwéh is virtuous, and not even one is to be rejected, if it is being received with thanksgiving,
5.  For it is purified through Yâ-hwéh's Word with supplication.  [Deuteronomy 12: 15-16 (see left margin)]
[Timotheos 4:1-5]

Thus Christians and near-miss namers are indeed polluting themselves when eating all Leviticus 11-defined unclean meats since they do not acknowledge His Truth, the Word of Yâ-hwéh, the name of Yâhuwshúa`, and though they may give thanks, it is not with the Word which purifies. Yet I have seen some near-miss name groups [i.e. Assemblies of Yahweh, Bethel PA]]even go as far as to add words into their translations of New Covenant Scriptures such as these to maintain their adherence to Leviticus 11 Law. This is sin, ranking on the same level as the insertion of Easter into the KJV and the trinity doctrine into 1 John 5. Here are a few more examples of New Covenant Scriptures which deal with this issue:

9.  ¶ Do not be carried around with various and strange teachings: it is virtue for the heart to be confirmed by favor - not meats, in which those who walked about were not profited.
[Hebrews 13:9]

12.  ¶ All substances are lawful to me, nevertheless not all things are advantageous; all substances are lawful to me, nevertheless I will not be brought under the control of any.
13.  The meats are for the gut, and the gut is for meats, yet Yâ-hwéh will render both this and these entirely idle.  But the body is not for fornication, instead for Yâ-hwéh, and Yâ-hwéh is for the body,
[1 Corinthians 6:12-13]

Then what roles do the Leviticus 11 food laws have?

8.  The Spirit of the Pure One clarifying this: while the covenant of the first tabernacle still has a position, the Way to the Separate one of the Pure Places has not yet been rendered apparent.
9.  Which is a symbol for the season at hand, in which both offerings and burnt-offerings shall be offered, not being capable to perfect the ministrant as to conscience,
10.  And ordinances of the flesh only about meats and drinks and diverse immersions: which were set until a season of rectification is imposed.

The blood of the Covenanted
11.  But the Anointed Who has come is the High Priest of His Goodness [ZkharYâ´hu 6: 11-13], coming through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hand - that is not of this manufacture -
12.  Yet not by means of blood of goats or calves, but by means of the blood of His Self, He entered once for all into the Separate one of the Pure Places, having found endless redemption.

[Hebrews 9:8-12]

Summary of this above passage: The Leviticus 11 food laws were part of the ordinances of the flesh, which were part of the season in which offerings and burnt-offerings were offered, when the first tabernacle still had a position and the Way of the Pure One into the Pure Place had not been manifested. Who clarified this? The Spirit.

One of the more common arguments kosherites present is this: "Did He eat pork?"  And since He did not, we also should not, quoting 1 John 2:6 out of context.

3.  And by this we recognize that we have acknowledged Him, if we should observe His commandments.
4.  The one alleging: “I acknowledge Him”, but isn't observing His commandments, is a liar; and the Truth is not within this one.
5.  But whoever might guard His Word [Yâhuwshúa`], truly within this one the Affectionate Love of Yâ-hwéh has been accomplished.  By this we recognize that we are within Him.
6.  The one alleging to stay within Him ought, just as that One walked about, also thus himself to walk about.
[1 Yahuwchanan (John) 2: 3-6]

This scriptural passage is saying that though keeping His commandments is a sign to recognize that we have truly acknowledged Him, to guard His Word is a much greater sign to recognize that we are within Him.  Yâhuwshúa` walked about guarding His Word, and He kept His own commandments.  But, why did He not eat pork?  He also kept ALL of the Law which pertained to the flesh, as He was alive in the flesh (We on the other hand have died to the flesh).  Whoever alleges we should also keep the ordinances pertaining to the flesh should also keep the various immersions, burnt-offerings, and offerings pertaining to the first tabernacle, which He did all that was required!

And a technical note:  He could have eaten pork sinlessly if he had offered up burnt offerings of thanksgiving (Deut 12:17-18, 26-27 see left margin), but Psalms 40:6 and Hebrews 10:5-7 say the Father did not require a burnt or sin offering for Yâhuwshúa`:

Slaughter and offering You did not approve of, yet with a body You have fitted Me;
For Me, a burnt offering or a sin offering You did not require.
Then I said: `Here am I, I have come, for from the roll's knob of the scroll it is written about Me; I desire to do Your will, My Mighty One, [and Your Law is in the center of My sentiments.]
[Psalms 40: 6]

Hebrews 9:8-12 (above) says Leviticus food laws are made a commandment about the flesh, yet, we are already dead to the flesh, through the hanging on a gallows-cross of the Anointed, in order that wrath may abound for those in the flesh who do not acknowledge Him, and that it was not made in order to deny us the blessing which He gave us through Noach (Genesis 9:3-4 see left margin). Yâ-hwéh is not One Who gives a privilege then changes His mind, He is not a liar to renege on His blessing, nor a thief to rob it from us without a means to get it legitimately (why do these groups try to argue this?). Deuteronomy 12:15-16 clarifies that Truth-acknowledging Israel could have eaten anything moving, like Noach, had they offered thanks then with offerings, as we now can, by offering thanks with our lips (Hosea 14:2 see left margin).

Yet in the Letter of Bar-Naviy Chapter 10, the spiritual meaning of these Leviticus 11 food laws are explained, which have a much more profound importance to us.  We invite and strongly encourage you believers with circumcised ears to click this hyperlink to read it from the translation downloadable from this site. (Please disable your popup blocker for this website)

12.  But how was it possible for them to understand or comprehend these things? We then, rightly understanding his commandments, explain them as Yâ-hwéh intended. For this purpose He circumcised our ears and our hearts, that we might understand these things.
[Letter of Bar-Naviy 10: 12]

So why did Yahweh make this additional condition to the blessing of Noach (see left margin Genesis 9:3-4)?

15.  For the Law accomplishes wrath; but where there is not a law, neither is there transgression --
[Romans 4:15}

19.  For just as through the disobedience of the one human the many were constituted sinners, thus also through the obedience of the One, the many shall be constituted righteous.
20.  But the Law entered in additionally, that the offense might abound; yet where the sin abounds, the favor does overabound,
21.  In order that, just as sin reigned by death, thus might favor yet reign through justification for endless life, by the hand of Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed, our Sovereign.

[Romans 5:19-21}

Interpretation: Though justification is by persuasion, and we are credited righteousness by our belief, the Law came in alongside (not to substitute the Promise) in order that the offenses might abound, and so that wrath might be accomplished against those who are UNDER the Law since they are those who did not accept the persuasion on His name (John 3:18). Therefore, the Christians who deny Him are indeed heaping His wrath against themselves in disobeying this Law, which remains unaccomplished in them, because they do not acknowledge the Truth, just as they do with their violating all of the other commandments which they are UNDER.

Are those PORK sausages?
Freedom to eat everything should not be freedom to offend everyone

Give thanks to Yahuwshua for me!

12.  And sinning thus against the brothers, and wounding their weak conscience, ye do sin against the Anointed One!
13.  Wherefore, if meat may ensnare your brother, I should not eat flesh at all for the age, in order that I may not ensnare my brother.
[1 Corinthians 8:12-13]

14. I understand and am persuaded by Yâ-hwéh Yâhuwshúa` that nothing is unclean of itself, except to him who reckons anything to be unclean, to that one alone it is unclean.
15.  But if your brother is aggravated with you due to meat, you no longer are walking about by affectionate love.  Do not destroy with your meat him for whom the Anointed died!
16.  Let not your goodness be reviled, therefore,
17.  For the Kingdom of Yâ-hwéh is not about eating and drinking, rather righteousness and peace and happiness within the Spirit of the Pure One!
18.  For he that bondserves the Anointed by these things is well-pleasing to the Mighty Ones and is approved by the sons of 'Âthâ´m.
19.  So then we should pursue the things of peace, and the things for building up one another!
20.  Do not, for the sake of meat, depart from the work of Yâ-hwéh.  All things indeed are clean [1 Timótheos 4: 3-5]; however, to the human who eats it due to tripping, it is evil.
21.  It is virtuous to not eat flesh, nor drink wine, nor whatever our brother strikes against, or is ensnared by, being weak.
22.  o you have a persuasion?  Hold it to yourself in Yâ-hwéh's sight.  Happy is the one not judging himself in what he does approve.
23.  But he that doubts, should he eat, has been condemned, because it is not done from believing; and everything that is not done from believing is sin.
[Romans 14:14-23]

Verse 15 above refers to believers on His name who may not yet understand this.  But for those near-miss brothers who do not believe on His name, we repeat

Therefore, we recommend, for our brothers who indeed believe on His true name, to not wrangle if possible with near-miss namers about these issues about the Law, because even if they were persuaded that they can eat unclean food cleansed by the Word through supplication, they do not have the correct Word to cleanse it!!!  The first priority is thus always to persuade them about Yâ-hwéh Yâhuwshúa`, and this is a reason they all think we are hopelessly obsessed about the name issue, and that we know nothing else.

8.  And the Word is trustworthy, so I desire you to thoroughly establish them concerning these things, in order that those who have believed on Yâ-hwéh may actively think to outstand in good works.  These things are good and profitable for the sons of 'Âthâ´m;
9.  But do not get involved in dumb questions and genealogies and quarrels and battles of the scribes of the Law (Towrâ´h), for they are useless and profitless.
[To Titus 3: 8-9]

Eat in your brother's sight what will not make him stumble, and you will be walking according to love.

The identity of the meat isn't the issue, seeking the salvation of our brothers is!
23.  All substances are lawful to me, nevertheless not all things are advantageous; all substances are lawful to me, nevertheless not all edify up the house.
24.  Let no one seek that (the edifying) of his self, rather let each one seek that of the other one.
25.  Eat everything that is sold within a butcher's stall, inquiring nothing due to the conscience!
26.  For the earth and its contents is Yâ-hwéh's!
27.  But if anyone of the unpersuaded invites you, and ye wish to go, eat all that is set before you, inquiring nothing due to the conscience.  [Exodus 34: 15]
28.  But if anyone might say to you: “This is offered to a worshipped image!”  Do not eat, due to that one that disclosed it and the conscience, for the earth and its contents is Yâ-hwéh's.
29.  Yet I say “conscience”, not that of yourself, rather the conscience of the other, for why would my freedom be decided by another's conscience?
30.  But if I partake with thanks, why am I scorned for what I give thanks?  [1 Timótheos 4: 3-4]
31.  Therefore, whether ye eat, or ye drink, or anything ye do, do all things for Yâ-hwéh's honor!
32.  Become ye inoffensive to both “Yehuwthím” and Greeks (“Christians”, modern Hellenists) and to the convocation of Yâ-hwéh.
33.  Just as I also please all in all things therein, not seeking my own advantage, rather that of the many, in order that they may be saved.
[1 Corinthians 10:23-33]

Verse 27 above is backed up by Exodus 34: 15 -

15.  ...Lest you make a treaty with an inhabitant of the land, for they adulterate after their mighty ones and they slaughter-offer for their mighty ones; yet he will invite you, and you may eat from his slaughter offering.

On meat offered to images: WHY not to eat it

7.  Nevertheless, this knowledge is not in everyone (that other elohiym are nothing); and some by being conscious of the worshipped image until now, eat it as something offered to a worshipped image, and their conscience, being weak, is soiled.
8.  But meat does not assist us with Yâ-hwéh: for neither do we have an advantage if we eat, neither do we come short if we do not eat.
9.  But beware lest this, your privilege shall be made an obstacle to those being weak.
[1 Corinthians 8:7-9]

Traditional Jewish Kosher doctrines (beyond Lev.11) are called the world's decrees!
16.  Therefore, no one should condemn you about meat and about drink or about the allotment of a pure festival or new moon or Shabbâ´ths,*
17.  Which are a shadow of things about to happen with the body of the Anointed.
18.  Let no one defraud you of the prize doing their will in humility and ceremonial observance of the messengers, who is embarking onto things which he has not discerned, vainly made haughty by the intellect of his flesh,
19.  Yet who is not grasping the Head, from Whom all His body, being fully supplied through the joints and knit together through the bands, enlarges the growth of Yâ-hwéh!
20.  Then if ye died together with the Anointed from the regiments of the world, why, as if alive, do ye subject yourselves by the world's decrees?

21.  “You may not attach yourself, you may not taste, you may not handle,
22.  Things which are all for corruption to those consuming them”

according to the injunctions and instructions of the sons of 'Âthâ´m,
23.  Which are indeed a topic having wisdom in self-pleasing ritual ceremony and abasement, but the unsparing treatment of the body is not at all for any value toward supplying the flesh.
[Colossians 2:16-23]

On true-name believers who go vegetarian:

1.  ¶ However, do not admit the one being weak in the belief into disputes of reasoning.
2.  For [example], one believes to eat all things, but another, being weak, eats herbs.
3.  Let the one eating not treat the one that does not eat with contempt; and let the one not eating not judge the one that eats, for Yâ-hwéh has accepted him.
[Romans 14:1-3]

What did Yâhuwshúa` say about it?

Attention: Well-meaning but ignorant scripture scholars often apply the wrong scriptures to try to defend their views.  During His human fleshly life before His hanging on the gallows-cross, Yâhuwshúa` did not refer to this unclean food issue when He spoke the following:
Eating unwashed does not defile; evil speech defiles
10.  And having called to the crowd, He said to them:

Hear and understand!
11.  What defiles the human is not that which enters into the mouth; rather, that which exits from the mouth, this defiles the human!

12.  Then His pupils, having approached Him, said to Him:
“Do You discern that the Phrushíym having heard the saying were ensnared?”
13.  But He answering, said:

Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.   [Tâ'ówm 40]
14.   Release them, they are blind leaders of blind ones, and if a blind one might lead blind ones, both will fall into a cistern. ”  [Sh'ówl (Chanówkh 89: 35)]

15.  But Këph, responding, said to Him:
“Define to us this parable.”
16.  But Yâhuwshúa` said:

Are ye, also, still thus, uncomprehending?
17.  Do ye not yet perceive that everything that enters into the mouth of a son of 'Âthâ´m from outside is not able to defile him [spiritually] because it doesn't enter into his heart, rather into the belly, and is expelled into the privy, purging all the food?  [Márquwç 7: 18-19]
18.  But that which exits out of the mouth comes forth from the heart, and these defile the human.
19.  For out of the mouth, come forth harmful debates, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, avarice, malice, deceit, the testimony of the Lie, licentiousness, a harmful eye, scorn, haughtiness, senselessness.
20.  These are that which proceed from within and [Márquwç 7: 21-23] defile the human; but the eating with unwashed hands does not defile the human.

[MattithYâ´huw 15: 10-20]

This account should not be used to defend Noach's blessing. Near-miss name groups correctly defend that the statement made by Yâhuwshúa` here are delimited to eating food without washed hands , and has nothing to do with unclean meats. Misusing this to mean more than its definition which Yâhuwshúa` Himself gave is misusing and misinterpreting scripture, and will hinder rather than help.  But just because it doesn't apply, doesn't mean the kosherites are right.  Look in The Glad Tidings of Tâ'ówm 14 what Yâhuwshúa` answered His pupils' questions in verse 6, and you will see that it ALSO is true to interpret this in this way!

6.  His pupils asked Him and said to Him:
“¿Do You want us to fast? How should we pray? Should we donate to benevolent organizations? What diet should we observe?
Yâhuwshúa` said:
Don't lie, and don't do what you hate, because all things are disclosed before heaven.  After all, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and there is nothing covered up that will remain undisclosed.
14.  Yâhuwshúa` said to them,
If you fast (unwillingly), you will bring sin upon yourselves, and if you pray (unwillingly), you will be condemned, and if you give to benevolent organizations (unwillingly), you will harm your spirits.  When you go into any region and walk around in the countryside, when people take you in, eat what they serve you and heal the sick among them.  After all, what goes into your mouth will not defile you; rather, it's what comes out of your mouth that will defile you.

This account of what Yâhuwshúa` said is obviously in another setting than the other one. But take note how it contains the same principle expressed in 1 Qorinthíym 10:23-33 and Exodus 34:14 and 1 Qorinthíym 8:7-9 above, starting with the subheading "The identity of the meat is not the issue, seeking the salvation of our brothers is!" For those who doubt and will start denying that Tâ'ówm is an inspired book, observe that it is confirmed that Yâhuwshúa` repeated this also in Luwqá 10:7 when He sent the 70 on missions:

7.  “...And stay at the same house, eating and drinking what they offer with them, for the workman is worthy of his food.  Do not change place from a house unto another house...

It is after Yâhuwshúa`'s resurrection that He offered the accomplishment of the Law to all those who believe on His name, not just in justification through persuasion and the promise of the spirit, but also in access to His blessing to Noach through thanksgiving and acknowledgment of the Truth. Yâhuwshúa` said this, using it as an allegory to the fact that He made the purification accessible to human "dogs and swine" (the heathen masses):

10.  And he became very hungry and wished to eat.  But as these were preparing it for him, a altered state of mind fell upon him,
11.  And he saw the heavens opened and a certain sail descending upon him, as if a great linen sheet, bound by its four corners, and was lowered onto the earth.
12.  And upon it were all the four-legged animals of the earth and the wild beasts and the creeping things and the flying animals of the skies.
13.  And a voice came to him:
Arise, Shim`ówn Këph, slaughter and eat.”  [Genesis 9: 3]
14.  But Shim`ówn Këph said:
“By no means, my Sovereign, for I have never eaten anything detestable or unclean!”  [Leviticus 11, Letter of Bar-Nâvíy 10]
15.  And a voice again the second time said to him:
What Yâ-hwéh has cleansed, you shall not detest.”*
16.  And this took place three times, and again the sail was taken up into the heavens.
[Deeds (Acts) 10:10-16]

Yet near-miss name groups still deny the literal meaning of the what Yâhuwshúa` showed Këph, although He did this 3 times, and though scripture says in Isaiah:

8.  "As the heavens are higher than the earth, thus My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts;
9.  Because just as the rain and the snow descend from the heavens, but it does not return to there unless it waters the earth and makes it bud and makes it flourish so it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
10.  Thus My word that goes out from My mouth has always been: it will not return empty, unless it accomplished what I desire, and it shall achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
[Isaiah 55:8-10]

Often the literal meaning is the hardest one to accept for people set in their traditions. Consider this: if it weren't literally true, it would be a lie. Yâ-hwéh does not lie.  Moreover, consider that what He says in Acts 10:10-16 does NOT contradict Leviticus 11 at all, it qualifies it!  In a truly humble person, one definitive scripture is sufficient to persuade; here on this page there are several, within their contexts, for strong edification. So if you are teetering between believing these scriptures or going with the traditional flow of your "sacred name" group, consider this more as a test of your willingness to subject your beliefs to scripture, the litmus test of true humility.  If you cannot accept these scriptures because of your traditions, how will you believe on other scriptures which contradict other traditions?  There will be Kosher-eating brothers who proclaim the correct name who still will not believe after reading all these scriptures. For those I say: do not condemn any name-believing brother who believes in their having access to the Blessing of Noach, because as he also believes in the true name, obviously Yâ-hwéh has accepted him! And if you yet harbor doubts, don't eat foods prohibited by Leviticus laws.

For those questioning the translation of Deuteronomy 12:15-16 in the left margin, a parallel detailed thorough logical analysis:
This is done as a courtesy for those wanting to be absolutely sure. It is unreasonable to demand that such an analysis be done for every scripture retranslated on this site, but it is probably indicated for this one, for edification, and not for debate with the hardened.

A literal word-for-word translation of Deuteronomy 12:15-16:

However by-all-of longing-of soul-of-you you-may-slaughter and-you-may-eat flesh like-(the)-blessing-of Yahweh Mighty-Ones-of-you that He-grants to-you Within-all-of ---gates-of-you the-unclean and-the-clean he-shall-eat-him like-the-gazelle or-like-the-deer : However the-blood not---you-shall-eat upon---the-ground you-shall-pour-him like-the-waters :
(for any doubt on this, see the Hebrew itself)
This is a sample establishment translation (NIV):

Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as your want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the LORD your God gives you.  Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it.  But you must not eat the blood, pour it out on the ground like water.
This is the translation we gave in the Left-hand margin of these verses:

"However, according to all the longings of your soul you may slaughter and you may eat meat, according to the blessing of Yâ-hwéh your Mighty Ones that He gave to you. Within all of your gates: the unclean and the clean [meat], one may eat it like the gazelle or like the deer; however  the blood you must not eat - on the ground you shall pour it like the waters..."
This is another sample establishment translation (KJV):

Notwithstanding, thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.  Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
Yet another sample establishment translation, the Friedlander (the 'Jewish Family Bible' of M. Friedlander, published with the sanction of the Chief Rabbi of the British Empire, Dr. N.M. Adler in 1881):

Nonetheless, thou mayest slaughter animals and eat their flesh to thy heart's desire, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he has bestowed on thee, throughout all thy gates, the unclean and the clean may eat of it as they do of the gazelle and the deer.  Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it upon the earth like water.
äAs we translated this, it is contextually accurate logically, since the blessing which Yahweh grants to us regarding flesh-eating is the Blessing of Noach, and the associated prohibition on blood-eating is repeated.
äAs others translated it, it departs from the blessing described to allege out-of-context that the unclean and the clean refer to people, not flesh, effectively DENYING the very blessing it talks about, then returns to it with the blood-eating prohibition.
ä The central issue is whether "the-unclean and-the-unclean" refers to people or to meat.  This is determined by whether it is the object or the subject of "he-shall-eat-him".  Hebrew is a flexible language about this, yet context helps to determine this.  So examine and compare how it comes before the verb in the Hebrew, just like "the-blood" comes before the verb "not---you-shall-eat".  It is apparent that an "eth-" (a direct-object qualifier) is not required to make it an object here.
äAs the passage's central subject is MEAT (flesh), specifically the blessing Yahweh grants us regarding it, so it is implied in the "the-unclean and-the-unclean" as a pronoun reference to MEAT.  If the passage were talking about laws of purification of people being clean or unclean, then certainly it could be speaking of people.
äNote that I followed the grammatical order of object - verb clause which is in the Hebrew, not only for the meat, but also for the blood.  I did this to be closer to the Hebrew.  But consider if I would have applied  the same verb-object format THEY use for the blood to the meat issue:

"However, according to all the longings of your soul you may slaughter and you may slaughter and you may eat meat, according to the blessing of Yâ-hwéh your Mighty Ones that He gave to you. Within all of your gates, one may eat the unclean and the clean, like the gazelle or like the deer, however you must not eat the blood, you shall pour it on the ground like the waters..."

There is nothing which prevents this translation from being true also, applying the same rules of the blood phrase to the meat phrase.  But I consider it even clearer to do it as I have before, since "one may eat it like the gazelle or like the deer" is in total agreement with the Hebrew order of words, and is beyond reproach.
äIn light of the above, and the rest of scripture agreeing with it, it is more eminently visible that the closer a translation approximates the Hebrew, the better.  Scripture is not a forum for artistic license, as you will note in the establishment translations which are heavy-laden with human interpretations.  Even in word order choice, Yahweh's words are as it says in Psalms 12:6
"The words of Yâ-hwéh are flawless ones of refined silver, purified seven times in a clay furnace!"
Furthermore, look at who the scribes wrote their translations for? Baal-God!
"How can you say we are wise ones, and the Torah of Yâ-hwéh is with us when look!  The lying pen of the scribes made it for the Lie!  The wise ones will be shamed: they will be dismayed and they will be trapped - look!  Since they rejected the Word of Yâ-hwéh, what wisdom do they have?"
[Jeremiah 8:8-9]
